The best time to visit Lansdowne is during the summer months of March to June when the weather is pleasant and suitable for outdoor activities like trekking, hiking and leisurely walks. Since summer is also the peak season, it is advised to make reservations for your hotel well in advance.

If you happen to visit between July and August then don''t forget to carry your raingear as it pours during the monsoon and if you''re a nature lover then Lansdowne is at its best between September and November after the rains with greenery and breathtaking views of the majestic mountains.
The winter months between December and February get very cold and often witness heavy snowfall with chances of landslides, so you should avoid visiting Lansdowne then, unless you''re the adventurous type. The Maha Shivaratri Festival is celebrated sometime between February and March.

Tourists attractions

Surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests, the hill station of Lansdowne is a place devoid of the hustle and bustle of other hill stations. It is a place for the tourists who want to enjoy nature in its eternity. It is probably the only place, apart from Mussoorie and Chakrata, on the regular tourist circuit in this region.
The famous Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army also has its command office here. They have maintained the old-world charm of the 19th century and the place is still an ideal getaway.
